The Postal Service

Over the past few months I have gone from being someone who doesn't 'get' The Postal Service (as in, the band) into someone who thoroughly enjoys their music. I think this change has something to do with the fact that we've spent many moments together walking in the rain. That experience always bonds people. It has also bonded me to Rilo Kiley and Sigur Ros. Granted, I have bonded with these artists about 5 years after it was 'cool' to bond with them. However, I think this suits me as I am not a trendsetter.

I am more of a re-Trendsetter.

I came on to Sigur Ros late, too. I'm Okay with it. I'm just finally glad that I eventually got around to listening to their music... and got to see them live last summer!

One of my friends who got married this summer walked down the aisle to Sigur Ros. It was amazing and so perfect for them!

i used to love the pants off of sigur ros when i was younger. rilo kiley too. sigur ros i found out about when i was maybe 18 or 19? i remember laying on my bed listening to ( ) or sometimes agaetis byrjun and think about all of the great things i wanted to do with my life. rilo kiley i just loved with a crazy passion. you couldn't find any music like that in ohio at the time, so everything i got, i got off of amazon usually. me and danny played rilo kiley a LOT while we were driving through california, so in spite of them already being a californian band, it seems like california music to me. oh, if we could have used our ipods while on our roadtrip...

oh, for a brief moment, liz and isabelle from roswell were in my dream last night. it was weird.

When you said Liz, I thought you meant Liz Dong. And then I wondered, "what is she doing hanging out with Isabelle?" KCho, why are we having this conversation via blog comments? Is seeing each other 3 days a week, texting every day, and Facebooking not enough? Are you sure that when I witnessed your wedding that the judge didn't actually marry us?

BEING ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOU VIA A BLOGGING WEBSITE IS ONE OF THE MOST VALUABLE FORMS OF COMMUNICATION I CAN HAVE WITH YOU. it is where i am most naturally myself (on the internet). if only you had a livejournal, our symbiosis would be complete!

suzanne, i know i don't know you (i'm ric's fiance) but i just happened upon your blog and saw that your friends walked down the aisle to sigur ros. no way! ric and i are seriously thinking about it. do you remember what song it was?

... and we thought we were being so unique and creative. :)

Carol, my friends used the song Ara Batur from the album Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust. My friend (the bride) started walking down the aisle right as the music swelled towards the end of the song. It was very effective for wetting the tear ducts!

Happy wedding planning. I'm sure you guys will come up with some really great creative touches.
